Yoga retreats

Kerala, India 10-18 March 2025

My fellow yogini and friend Debs Albon and I are now back from our visit to India where we explored the beautiful state of Kerala and spent a week at the Neeleshwar Hermitage Hotel, enjoying the authentic hospitality of this coastal oasis.  Please have a look at the photos we took in the Gallery below!

After experiencing the nourishing effects of Ayurvedic treatments and the local cuisine, we knew we would return, which is probably why the Neeleshwar slogan is “For the rest of your life”!

We are therefore very excited to offer an 8-day transformative retreat where we will immerse ourselves in yoga on all levels: physically, mentally and spiritually.  This is a unique opportunity to deepen your understanding of true (Satya) yoga at its source.  Hosted by the award-winning Neeleshwar Hermitage Hotel, and joined by author/philosophy lecturer Alistair Shearer, we will have an authentic experience in the country that gave us yoga.

We are also very excited to be offering a wonderful, luxury 9-day add-on tour of some of the magical spiritual and cultural highlights of India, taking in:

Mumbai, Varanasi, Agra, Jaipur and Delhi

This wonderful wellness package includes:

  • Daily yoga classes (Hatha and Yin) hosted by Mina & Debs

What is Ayurvedic medicine?

Ayurveda is the sister science to yoga, a natural system of medicine that originated in India more than 3000 years ago.  It comes from the Sanskrit ayur meaning life and veda meaning science/knowledge.  Based on the idea that disease is due to an imbalance or stress in a person’s consciousness, Ayurveda encourages certain lifestyle interventions and natural therapies to regain a balance between the body, mind, spirit and the environment.  The concepts of universal interconnectedness, the body’s constitution (prakriti), and life forces (doshas) are the primary basis of ayurvedic medicine.  Herbs and other plants, including oils and common spices, are used extensively in the treatment.
